About

A small firm, run by the person who builds it.

The Automation Agency is Ben Horne, working from Chesterfield in Derbyshire. We take repetitive admin off a team and set it up to happen on its own, for a price agreed before anything starts.

The business started in April 2026. Ben had been building software that businesses rely on for more than ten years before that. Everything you might want to check is in the table below.

Working with us

What happens, step by step.

There is one person on our side and it is Ben Horne. No account manager, and nobody between you and the person building it.

  1. 1

    You get in touch

By phone or through the form. It reaches Ben, not a sales team, and you hear back within 24 hours.

  2. 2

    A free 30-minute call

On the phone, a video call, or in person if you are nearby. You describe the job someone does by hand, and we ask the questions that tell us whether it can be done for you.

  3. 3

    A written quote

What we will build, what it will not do, and one fixed price. If it is not worth building, we will tell you, and that costs you nothing.

  4. 4

    We build it

2–6 weeks for a whole process. You see it working before it goes live, and the price does not change if it takes us longer than we thought.

  5. 5

    We hand it over

Written instructions, a walkthrough with the people who will use it, and all the logins. You own it. The first 30 days of support are included. After that, support is optional, and so is walking away with it running.

Your other options

When we're the right choice, and when we're not.

There are three other ways businesses usually deal with repetitive admin. Each one is the better answer some of the time.

Off-the-shelf software

Better when your process is standard and a monthly subscription does the job as it is.

Ours is built around the way you already work, and you own it, so it does not stop when you stop paying.

Renting software versus owning it →

Hiring someone

Better when the job needs judgement, like knowing which customer to phone first. We will tell you if that is your situation.

When the job follows the same rules every time, a build is a one-off cost instead of a salary.

Automate it or hire for it →

Other automation firms

Plenty of good ones exist, and prices vary a lot.

Every price we charge is on this website before you contact us, and nothing changes once it is agreed.

What automation costs in the UK →

Tell us about the job.

You don't need a technical plan. Tell us what someone does by hand now and you'll get a straight answer about whether it's worth doing, with a price attached.
